The Armed Forces Retirement home offers Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Long-Term care facilities for the men and women who so faithfully served our country. The purpose designed assited living provides layout features for additional accessibility and encourages senior wellness and exercise.
The Long Term care unit is consistent with performance criteria found in the Guidelines for Design and Construction of the Health care Facilities, published by the AIA, 2006 version. The facility will receive the LEED Silver rating by providing our veterans with increased natural lighting, indoor/outdoor integration, individual temperature control, high quality indoor air & more openness in floor area. The facility is designed to provide comfortable long term care for 582 residents as well as continuous patient monitoring tied back to individual nursing stations.
As this beautiful facility is situated on 46 harmonious acres on the Gulf of Mexico a seven day sustainability design has been incorporated into the design in the event of a category five hurricane, providing continued HVAC, potable water, electricity, sewage treatment, and fire protection.
Installed 116,000sf of Modified Bitumen roof system and 65,000sf of Garden (GREEN) roof system.
