Project Description:

Installing 61,000sf of Modified Bitumen roof system, installing 23,000sf of VM ZINC metal wall panels

Work consists of demolition of Hurricane Katrina damaged areas, complete exterior and interior rehabilitation as well as an addition on the south side of the original building. The 90,000 sf. new building is designed to achieve LEED Silver by the USGBC and will include Pre-K through eighth grade. In addition to basic classrooms, Colton School will have media centers, science labs, computer classrooms, music and art rooms, a fully equipped cafeteria and gymnasium. Natural light is being enhanced by seven large skylights over various areas of the facility.
